Students confine SUST VC

The students of English Department of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) Wednesday locked their administrative building and confined its Vice-Chancellor demanding removal of the department’s chairperson.

The university officials along with the acting VC Ilias Uddin Biswas and Proctor Himadri Shekhar Roy were confined inside the administrative building.

The confined teachers confirmed the matter to banglanews over phone.

Witnesses said the students brought out a demonstration in front of VC office around 11:30am and locked the VC office demanding the removal of the head of the English Department.
