Bangladesh University Grant Commission (UGC) will give ‘Prime Minister gold medal’ to 82 meritorious students.
Some 82 students of public universities have been selected for the medals who secure highest marks or grade in honours level.
The medal distribution ceremony will be held at PM office (Shapla) at about 9:30 am on Wednesday. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will distribute the medals among meritorious students.
With UGC chairman professor Dr. AK Azad Chowdhury in the chair, the programme will also be attended by Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid.
UGC deputy-secretary Shamsul Arefin informed it.
Amongst them, 10 are from Dhaka University, five from Rajshahi University, six from Bangladesh Agriculture University, five from Bangladesh University of Science and Technology, five from Chittagong University, four from Jahangirnagar University and five from Islami University.
