12 hurt as JnU, Kobi Nazrul students clash, Jagannath University, News of Jagannath University, Kabi Nazrul College



At least 12 people including three policemen were injured during a clash between the students of Jagannath University and Kobi Nazrul College in the old part of the capital Wednesday noon.
Three vehicles were torched and two others were vandalised around 12:30pm when the clash erupted on Kobi Nazrul College premises near Bahadur Shah Park in Sutrapur, fire service officials said.
On information, two unit of fire service rushed to the spot and doused the fire.
Police had to lob 24 teargas shells to bring the situation under control, said Nazrul Islam, officer-in-charge of Sutrapur Police Station.
The reason behind the clash could not be known immediately.
