Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique
invites a visiting team of teachers and students from three American
universities on December 29, 2012.
The team was led by Professor Dr. Mizanur Rahman Miah, Director of the School of Social Work, Southern Illinois University Carbondale. The tour was part of a study program of Southern Illinois University Carbondale in collaboration with Case Western Reserve University. During their visit to DU, American students and teachers learned about the activities of the university and socio-economic development of Bangladesh in the past decades.
Professor Arefin Siddique apprised the team members of the history of Dhaka University since its inception and its academic and other activities, the history of our Liberation War and Language Movement in brief. He also informed them about the education system in Bangladesh and answered different questions of the visiting students. The Vice-Chancellor also thanked them for their visit to DU and their keen interest in its activities.
