Professor Dr Abdul Hakim Sarker newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of Islamic University, Kushtia joined on Tuesday. After joining the university, he placed floral wreaths to the central Shaheed Minar of the university.
He asked all teachers, officials, employees and students to maintain the congenial educational atmosphere on the university campus. Treasurer Professor Dr Mohammad Sahjahan Ali, Registrar Dr M Moslem Uddin, Student Advisor Professor Dr TM Lokman Hakim and Proctor Professor Dr AHM Aktarul Islam Zillu were among others present.
On December 27, the government appointed Professor Dr Abdul Hakim Sarker as Vice-Chancellor for next four years by removing Professor Dr M Alauddin of the university amid the demonstrating teachers’ demand.
