Orientation Program held at BUP

Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) organized an orientation program for the newly admitted students of academic session 2012-2013 on January 13, 2013.

Major General Abul Kalam Md. Humayun Kabir, Vice-Chancellor of the University, was present at the function as the chief guest. While addressing the program, General Abul Kalam said, "We realize that we are to educate, train and prepare young people for the 21st century. Globalization, uncertainty, competitions proliferation of seminal ideas, magical innovations are the defining features of the century".

In the emerging context, old thinking and approaches, paradigm and policies may increasingly prove to be irrelevant and even obsolete, he added. He also said one has to be sharp, smart, intelligent, adaptive, motivated and dynamic to survive and shine. Our students and trainees must be equipped with sharp eyes, quick cognition, analytical minds and dexterity so that our education and training could be rigorous and imaginative to enable our graduates to think and act differently.
