The 4th Academic Council Meeting of Daffodil International University
(DIU) was held at its board room in the capital on December 29, 2012.
Professor Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, DIU Vice-Chancellor, presided over the
programme and Md. Sabur Khan, chairman of the Board of Trustees, DIU,
attended the meeting as the guest of honor.
Among others, members of the council Professor Dr. Sharif Enamul Kabir, member of Public Service Commission, Professor Dr. M. Kabir of Jahangirnagar University, Professor Dr. M. Mizanur Rahman, treasurer, Professor Dr. SM Mahabub-ul Haque Majumder, Professor Dr. Golam Rahman, Professor Rafiqul Islam, Professor Dr. Md. Zakir Hossain, Dr. Md. Fokhray Hossain, Professor Dr. Golam Maowla Choudhury, Professor M. Mokarram Hossain, Mominul Haque Majumder, Brig Gen (retd) M. Mofizur Rahman, Mohammed Emran Hossain, Md. Milan Khan, and heads of all departments were present at the programme. Professor Lutfar Rahman presented the overall academic activities report.
Professor Sharif Enamul Kabir and other members praised the continuous development and success of the university and mentioned that DIU has taken a gigantic initiative to build its permanent campus over 20 acres of land. They also said DIU is now completely computerized and automated. All of its premises have been brought under WiFi facilities and praised the authorities' initiative of 'One Student: One Laptop' project.
