33rd BCS written test results published


The Public Service Commission on Wednesday published the written test results of the 33rd Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations with a total of 18,693 candidates coming out successful.
Of them, 6,806 have passed in the general cadre category, 4,413 in the general and technical/professional categories and 7,474 in the technical/professional category, according to the result available on www.bpsc.gov.bd.
The PSC has published the result provisionally and it preserves the right to modify the published result if the results require any modification, said the press release in its website.
The viva-voce of the candidates is likely to begin on May 12 or its closest time. Initially, viva-voce of the candidates of technical/professional posts will be held taken first, added the release.
More than 28,9oo applicants sat for the test across the country on December 19 last year, vying for 4,206 vacant government posts of various cadres. The first-round exam was held on June 1 that year with around 1.93 lakh applicants sitting for it and a total of 28,917 candidates qualified for the written test.
The PSC on February 29 last year published the circular for 33rd BCS examination.
