International Students’ Day observed by Sociology and Anthropology Department



Green University Social Bonding Club (GUSBC) of the Department of Sociology & Anthropology successfully organized an event with an intention to observe the 74th International Students’ Day, 2013 on November 16, 2013. The program was facilitated by K.M.A. Samad Masud, Vice President, Green University Social Bonding Club (GUSBC), Dept. of Sociology & Anthropology, GUB. Students and faculty members of Dept. of Sociology and Anthropology participated in that program and shared their insightful thoughts and opinions.

The Program that was wholly focused on two major areas:Identifying the challenges faced by 21st century graduates and the needs’ was worked out by the students in a participatory way (small group discussion method). Then, in the second part, Md. Samiul Islam, Lecturer and Program Coordinator, Dept. of Sociology and Anthropology came up with a guideline focusing the area of ‘Overcoming the Challenges of the 21st Century Graduates: what can students do and what can teachers do?’. After that concluding speech was given and an oath taking was conducted by Abul Kalam Azad, Chairman, Dept. of Sociology and Anthropology. Finally, the program was ended up with a short cultural program.
