University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) Academic Council
formed a 40-member admission committee to begin the first year admission
process under 2012-2013 academic session. on September 18, 2012 A central admission committee was formed at a meeting chaired by dean's committee chairman Professor Muhammad Zakaria.
Dean of Architecture Department Professor Dr. Roksana Hafiz has been made head of the committee.
Students' welfare adviser, registrar and deans of the university have been included in the committee.
However, Vice Chancellor Professor SM Nazrul Islam did not attend the meeting. He sent a note to the council mentioning that he could not attend the meeting because of his illness and asked the council members to continue the meeting as per the rules.
The committees will hold a meeting soon to set a date for the admission test.
