The 47th convocation of Dhaka University (DU) will be held on March 4, 2013. Moreover, Dhaka University will confer Doctor-of-Laws degree on Indian President Pranab Mukherjee at its 47th convocation. The decision came at an emergency meeting of the academic council on January 31, 2013 chaired by Vice Chancellor Professor Arefin Siddique. President Zillur Rahman, also chancellor of DU, is expected to chair the ceremony which Mukherjee will attend as convocation speaker.
