6th Convocation of UAP Held at BICC

The 6th convocation of University of Asia Pacific (UAP) was held at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) on April 3, 2013. 

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid, MP, conferred degrees to the graduating students of Spring 2011, Fall 2011, Spring 2012 Semester of UAP on behalf of the Chancellor. A total of 1438 students of eight different departments of UAP received degrees in different disciplines. Three students received Chancellor's Gold Medal while 11 students received Vice Chancellor's Gold Medal for their outstanding academic performances. 

Education Minister praised the progress of UAP in such a short time and appreciated the fast paced construction of its permanent campus in Green Road. "UAP is one of those few universities that are continuously striving to provide with quality education." he said. 

Justice Muhammad Habibur Rahman, former Chief Justice and chief adviser to the caretaker government, said to the graduating students "Seize as many opportunities as you can by being selective with a noble cause". "Keep on adding skills and be curious", he added. 

Vice Chancellor of UAP Professor Dr. Jamilur Reza Choudhury mentioned the objective of UAP is to meet rapidly increasing demand for human resource development in the new millennium and UAP is working hard to achieve the goal. 

Chairperson and members of the Board of Trustees, Members of Syndicate and Academic Council were also present.
