The 43rd Independence and National Day was observed at Bangladesh
Agricultural University (BAU) with a call to uphold the spirit of
liberation war for building a prosperous Bangladesh, free from hunger
and poverty and also implementation of the trial of war criminals.
Marking the day, the BAU authority took elaborate programmes including placing of floral wreaths at the Liberation War Monument, friendly football matches, a cultural programme and painting competition.
Vice-chancellor of Bangladesh Agricultural University Professor Dr Md Rafiqul Hoque inaugurated the day’s programme. Professor Dr Sultan Uddin Bhuiyan, student’s affairs Adviser of BAU was present, among others.
Rover Scouts, BNCC, BAU Security Cell, Boys and Girls Guide and different other educational and cultural organisations took part in the march held at the BAU stadium.
