HSC Admission Starts at Notre Dame College

The High Court on June 2, 2013 issued a rule for Notre Dame College to admit students of class XI through holding admission tests. 

In response to a writ petition filed by the college authority, the court also issued a rule upon the government to explain in four weeks why the circular, issued by the Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Dhaka in this regard, should not be declared illegal. 

The case was processing from six months for admission into class XI of Notre Dame College on the basis of marks obtained by the admission seekers in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations. 

The board on May 16, 2013 issued the circular saying it will select institutions for students on the basis of their SSC marks. 

The Principal of the College, Father Hemanta Pius Rosario confirmed, the application form distribution starts on June 03, 2013 from 6:00 pm to 3:00 pm. In addition, the application form will be distributed on June 04, 2013 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and June 05, 2013 from 6:00 pm to 3:00 pm. 

The list of nominated candidates will be published on June 07, 2013 and 30-minute long written test will be taken on 8 & 9 June. Admission test results will be published on 14 or 15 June, 2013, Said Hemanta Pius Rosario. 

Eligibility of admission for this year GPA 5.00 for Science, GPA 4.00 for Business Studies and GPA 3.25 for Humanities Group. The policy of the admission process issued last year by the Ministry of Education on May 14, 2012. Accordance with this policy, students can apply using Teletalk mobile phone by SMS from May 18 to June 06, 2013. The delay in the admission fee and the deposit will be paid up to 30 June. Classes will be started on July 01, 2013.
