Daffodil International University (DIU) donated an amount of Tk. 10 lakh to Kidney Foundation and Research Institute on July 16, 2013 as a part of its Academic Social Responsibilities.
Md. Sabur Khan, chairman of the Board of Trustees, DIU, handed over a cheque for the amount to Professor Dr. Harun-Ur Rashid, president of Kidney Foundation, at Kidney Foundation in the capital, says a press release.
Professor Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, DIU Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Aminul Islam, emeritus professor, Professor Dr. M. Mizanur Rahman, treasurer, Professor Dr. Md. Zakir Hossain, director (Studies), Professor Dr. Shah Md. Keramot Ali, dean of FAHS, Mominul Haque Majumder, director (Finance and Accounts), Mohammed Emran Hossain, deputy registrar, Dr. Bellal Hossain, Dr. Nadira Begum and Md. Anowar Habib Kazal, assistant director of the university, were present during the cheque handover ceremony.
Tiny Ferdous Rashid, managing director of Kidney Foundation Hospital and Research Institute, welcomed the guests and briefed them on the overall activities of the foundation. Professor Shamim Ahmed and Professor Zia Uddin Ahmed were also present during their visit.
