Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) is a popular public engineering university founded in 1968 located at Chittagong, the major
port-city and the second largest city of Bangladesh.
Application process for admission in BSc engineering courses of Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology (CUET) is going to begin on September 2, 2013 and continue till October 9, 2013 (12 pm).
This year, students will be admitted in 630 vacant seats of CUET. Among them, 130 seats in Civil engineering, 120 in Computer Science & Engineering, 130 in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, 30 in Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering, 130 in Mechanical Engineering, 30 in Petroleum and Mining Engineering, 30 in Architecture and 30 in Urban & Regional Planning department.
Applications can be done via mobile SMS from any Teletalk prepaid SIM except A-level students and foreign institute's students. They have to apply through admission office of CUET.
The application form price is Tk. 700 for 'KA' group and Tk. 800. for 'KHA' group.
Students, who have passed HSC/equivalent exams only in 2013, can apply for admission. Applicants must have to be Bangladeshi. Minimum GPA is 4.00 in the Scale of 5. Applicants must have 'B' grade in Math, Physics, Chemistry and English. Moreover, total grade point of Math, Physics, Chemistry and English must have to be at least 17.00.
Students who have passed from foreign institutes have to achieve the equivalent grade and have to submit "Numerical Value" report collected from concerned authority.
English medium students have to get 'B' grade in at least 5 subjects in GCE O Level and have to get 'B' grade in Math, Physics, Chemistry and English in GCE A Level Exam. Only students who have passed A level in 2013 can apply.
