Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) in cooperation with
Bangladesh Bank has taken an initiative of developing 2,000 young
entrepreneurs to build a new business arena.
In order to expose these 2000 entrepreneurs to the local and global arena, the DCCI has in the cards a mega expo, namely "DCCI Entrepreneurship and Innovation Expo-2013", to be held at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in Dhaka on November 1-2, 2013.
As part of nationwide campaign, a motivational workshop was arranged in North South University (NSU) Campus on Monday aiming for encouraging students to participate in the expo and submit their business ideas. Students showed their keen interest and eagerness to become entrepreneurs, said a DCCI media release on July 20, 2013.
The DCCI is now campaigning at the university level to motivate the students to become successful entrepreneurs. DCCI president M Sabur Khan called upon the students to submit their innovative business ideas soon for final selection. He said that best 2,000 business ideas will be selected and DCCI in cooperation with Bangladesh Bank will promote them to become entrepreneurs. Vice Chancellor of North South University Professor Amin U Sarkar, Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. ANM Meshquat Uddin, and Director, Career and Professional Development Services (CPDS) Professor Dr. M Khasro Miah also spoke on the occasion.
