Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) observed the death anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at its auditorium in Rekeya Sarani Campus on 15 August 2013.
Professor Dr. Md. Golam Samdani Fakir, Vice-Chancellor of the university presided over the program while Mr. Mafidul Haque, Trustee and Member Secretary of Liberation War Museum was the Chief Guest. Professor Dr. Md. Ahsanul Haque, Chairperson of English Department was the Key-Note Speaker and Treasurer of GUB Mr. Md. Shahid Ullah & Registrar of GUB Lt Col Md. Ali Ambial Haque Khan (Retd) was the special guests.
The discussion meeting was held commemorating the tragedy that occurred on 15 August 1975 leading to the death of Bangabandhu and most of his family members. Later, a prayer was offered for eternal peace of the departed souls.
Departmental Dean, Chairpersons, Faculty Members, Officials and Students of the University were present on the occasion.
