Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) has organized a hearty reception
program on the 20th September 2013 for the brilliant students of the HSC
Examination 2013.
The reception was held at Shaheed Suhrawardi Indoor Stadium at Mirpur, Dhaka where the Vice-Chancellor of this university Professor Dr. Md. Golam Samdani Fakir presided over the program.
The welcome speech was delivered by the Chairman, Board of Trustees of GUB Mr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Mamun. Honorable Education Minister, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh Mr. Nurul Islam Nahid, MP was present as the Chief Guest. Former Advisor to the Caretaker Government of the Ministry of Primary & Mass Education Ms. Rasheda K. Choudhury, Editor and Publisher of the Daily Star Mr. Mahfuz Anam and Professor of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology Dr. M. Kaykobad were present as Guests of Honor.
About 7000 students have received medals for their brilliant results in the HSC Examination 2013 from Green University. The Chief Guest presented medals to ten students from different education boards who obtained Golden A+. As part of the reception, special crest were presented to the best performing colleges of all education boards in Bangladesh.
With the anchoring of popular RJ Nawsheen and Sayem, the program ended with songs of Ayub Bachchu, Balam and July.
