Vice Chancellor Professor M Omar Rahman handed over the awards to the students at a ceremony held at the university at Bashundhara in the city on Thursday.
The awards were given under five categories. The students on the Vice Chancellor's honour list received Tk 10,000 each and those on the Dean's honour list received Tk 5,000 each for purchasing books.
Among others, Registrar Dr. Tanvir A Khan spoke at the award distribution ceremony. The programme was conducted by Deputy Registrar Mona Rahman.
A good number of students, parents and members of the faculty and management attended the ceremony.
