Green University EEE final year students study tour

The final year students of the regular program of B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) of the Department of Electrical and Electrical Engineering under the Faculty of Science and Engineering of Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) took part in a day-long study tour to the Green Power at Hemayetpur, Savar on 26 October 2013 (Saturday). The purpose of the study tour was to help the students to have a practical knowledge on different electrical, mechanical and electro-mechanical machines’ manufacturing and assembling processes of this sophisticated power solution company in Bangladesh. Thirty (30) students including one (1) female student participated in the tour. Three (3) faculty members, Prof. Dr. Engr. Muhibul Haque Bhuyan, Professor and Chairperson of EEE Department, Engr. Mishkat Al Alvi and Engr. Mohammad Rashidul Islam, Lecturers of EEE Department, guided the students during the tour.

In this study tour, they learned how various types of transformer, circuit breakers (such as, ACB, VCB, MCB, MCCB etc.), LT and ST switch gear, industrial voltage stabilizers, power factor improvement plant, cooling fans etc. are manufactured and assembled in this electrical and electronics engineering industry as part of their practical learning. GUB EEE Club under the Department of Electrical and Electrical Engineering organized this program.
