11,758 primarily selected for KL jobs


A total of 11,758 candidates out of 36,038 were selected primarily for jobs in Malaysia through a lottery.
The candidates will be called for medical tests through mobile text messages (SMS), said Labour, Employment and Expatriates' Welfare Minister Engineer Khondoker Mosharraf on Wednesday.
Ten thousand workers will be finally selected following the medical check-up, he added.
A total of 3,646 were preliminarily selected from Dhaka division, while 1,279 from Khulna, 1,551 from Rajshahi, 2,287 from Chittagong, 1,361 from Rangpur, 762 from Barisal and 874 from Sylhet.
The online registration of the aspirants for jobs at Malaysian plantation sector started on January 13.
Around 14 lakh people have registered their names for jobs in Malaysia till 4:00pm on Monday.
