Ninety-five students of Biological Sciences Faculty of Dhaka University
(DU) were conferred with Deans Award for their outstanding results in
honors examinations of 2009-10 and 2010-11 academic sessions.
Vice-Chancellor Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique handed over the crests and certificates among the awardees at a colourful function at Senate Bhaban on the campus.
Chaired by the faculty Dean Professor Emdadul Haque, the function was addressed by Pro-Vice Chancellor (academic) Professor Nasreen Ahmad and Treasurer Professor Kamal Uddin as special guests.
Among the 95 awardees, Seven were of Soil, Water and Environment Sciences Department, 19 of Botany Department, 24 of Zoology Department, 11 of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department, two of Psychology Department, 20 of Microbiology Department, three of Fisheries Department and nine of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Department.
