Chancellor of the universities of Bangladesh appointed a new VC at Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University (JKKNIU), Mymensing on May 5, 2013.
The president, Abdul Hamid, appointed Dhaka University's English department professor Khondakar Ashraf Hossain as the vice-chancellor of JKKNIU.
The education secretary Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury told the news media that the ministry issued notifications on the appointments.
Khondakar Ashraf Hossain will replace Syed Giasuddin Ahmed. Like former BRUR VC, Giasuddin also facing corruption allegations.
