Speakers at a seminar said that television talk shows act like a mini parliament. The talk shows can make a big impact on public mind, they said. People can get a lot of information through direct participation in the shows over phone, which helps form public opinion.

The panel discussants were Nayeemul Islam Khan, Editor, Amader Orthaneeti, Munni Saha, CEO, ATN News, Robayet Ferdous, Associate Professor, Dhaka University, Ahmed Jubayer, CEO, Somoy Television, and renowned journalist Golam Mourtaza. At the end of the seminar, students took part in a question and answer session.
