Seminar about "TV Talk Show" Held at DIU

Speakers at a seminar said that television talk shows act like a mini parliament. The talk shows can make a big impact on public mind, they said. People can get a lot of information through direct participation in the shows over phone, which helps form public opinion.

Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of Daffodil International University (DIU) organized the event on 'Television Talk-Show: Our Expectations' at its auditorium on July 02, 2013. Dean of Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of DIU Prof Dr M Golam Rahman presented a keynote paper.

Syed Mizanur Rahman Raju, Head, Department of Journalism moderated the event. The panel discussants were Nayeemul Islam Khan, Editor, Amader Orthaneeti, Munni Saha, CEO, ATN News, Robayet Ferdous, Associate Professor, Dhaka University, Ahmed Jubayer, CEO, Somoy Television, and renowned journalist Golam Mourtaza. At the end of the seminar, students took part in a question and answer session.
