University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) organized a commemoration discussion event for National Mourning Day on 18 August 2013 at its own campus in Dhanmondi.
The program was arranged on the occasion of 38th Death Anniversary of the Father of Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Professor Abdul Mannan was the Key-note speaker in the discussion.
In the Key-note discussion Professor Abdul Mannan said that Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was one of the great leaders in the world who played the most important role for achieving the Independence of our country. He also discussed all about his visit to Tungipara under Gopalganj district on 'Bangabandhu and the Independence of Bangladesh'.
ULAB Professor Emeritus Rafiqul Islam gave the welcome address and President, ULAB Board of Trustees and Founder of ULAB Mr. Kazi Shahid Ahmed delivered vote of thanks in the program. Among others, ULAB Vice-Chancellor Professor Imran Rahman, ULAB Pro-VC Professor HM Jahirul Haque and Registrar Lt. Col. Foyzul Islam (Retd.) were also present, along with admin and faculty members in the discussion.
